About

Daniël De Borger, is a Dutch/Belgian photographer. Both music and photography have always been a primary necessity of life for him. Inevitably at some point he started to develop an interest in shooting concerts and it slowly became one of his biggest passions. His extensive taste in music has taken him and his camera to all kinds of places where the established names, but also new upcoming talents can be found.

His pictures are characterised by a strong “up close and personal” approach, making it his goal to capture the most vibrant, intense, vulnerable and magical moments, during the often difficult, challenging (and bound to strict rules) photo circumstances during a concert.  Two important things that have always drawn him to concert photography, are the unexpected and dynamic aspects of a concert. It’s not always clear what to expect (how will the stage light be, what’s the artist going to do..etc..), and therefore it is always a challenge to capture the best moments possible each time.

Over the years his work has been published in several printed and online media such as OOR Magazine, BNN State Magazine, SOUNDZ Magazine, SLAGWERKKRANT i.a.

His main focus always has been music photography, but not very long ago, slowly a strong new interest in more other forms of this beautiful profession started to arise. He is currently broadening his horizons as a photographer, working in or outside the photostudio. So if you like what you see and if you’re interested in a music based shoot, a (character) portrait, modelshoot, or another beautiful event (corporate, studio, commercial, on location etc..), you can contact him. He is available for different kinds of assignments within and/or outside the musical atmosphere.
